Dr. Simona Romano

My passion for psychology was born in school. By studying philosophy, pedagogy, biology and natural sciences, I developed a curiosity for human nature, for the mind and its hidden features. This was the premise of psychology, which I studied with devotion and love. That same curiosity took me around the world.

During the Bachelor's degree, I attended the Summer School in Los Angeles, where I studied comparative psychobiology and the psychology of addiction. After graduation, I moved to Maastricht to carry out the master's degree in neuroscience and psychopathology; and then to London, at King's College, where I conducted a research in Epigenetics. These experiences abroad have broadened my views and helped me to see the world from different perspectives.  

In London, I grew an interest in Mindfulness Yoga, which accompanied me in a critical period. In fact, a surgery brought me back to Italy, and yoga was my anchor. Yoga allowed me to better manage emotions, develop awareness, and grow as a person. In Italy, I took the qualification of Psychologist and Yoga teacher; thus, as a professionist, I use the two approaches separately but also integrated, in order to help people to live better, face adversity in a functional way and rebalance themselves on a psycho-physical level.
